What is the toll free number for members?

1-800-621-5287, member service representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you.

Can I still utilize these benefits if I rent?

Yes. The only benefit you cannot utilize is the $500 Home Deductible Reimbursement. All other benefits will be available to you.

Benefit Information

Is there a ‘wait time’ to start utilizing any of the benefits?

The only benefit that requires a 30 day wait time is Auto Repair Reimbursement. All other benefits can be utilized immediately.

Is there a limit to the Emergency Home Medical Expense Reimbursement?

No.

Is there a cap or limit to the Ambulance Reimbursement?

No, there is no limit to the dollar amount or the frequency for which this benefit can be used.

Claim Information

How do I file a claim?

The quickest way to file a claim is by logging into the Member Portal. Once logged in, you will see a section named ‘Claims.’  If you need assistance, you can give us a call at 1-800-621-5287.

Is there a time limit on filing a claim?

Notice of claim must be mailed or submitted online via the Member Portal within 45 days of loss. All claims for applicable reimbursement must be supported by appropriate documentation and/or valid receipts for payment of services rendered. Claims forms along with supporting items must be post marked within 90 days of loss.

How soon does the plan go into effect? When can I access my benefits?

Members are covered immediately upon plan purchase, and will they receive a welcome email and a welcome kit with instructions on how to access their plan benefits.

3 year term

Children are covered for certain benefits. Refer to RealBenefits.com for who/what is covered under each benefit

Does Telemedicine require the member to have insurance?

No.

Is Telemedicine free?

There is no additional cost after the Silver Safeguard plan is purchased.

Do I need to enroll on a separate site for Identity Theft monitoring?

Start by registering on RealBenefits.com where all the benefits are available. From there, you will select the Identity Protection benefit which provides instructions for setting up your Identity Guard account.

What are the requirements for the Hospitalization reimbursement benefit?

You must stay 3 consecutive nights to be eligible for reimbursement.

Are pre-existing conditions covered for Hospital Reimbursement?

Yes, pre-existing conditions are covered for reimbursement.

When do restaurant.com gift cards reset in each member’s account?

A $25 gift card appears on the first of each month and is repeated monthly for the 3-year term.

Does the restaurant.com gift card need to be printed or mailed?

Once redeemed with the $25 gift card, all restaurant certificates are stored within your restaurant.com account and are accessible wherever you go.

Is there a filing deadline for submitting claims when an incident occurs?

Submit your claim for reimbursement to American Health and Life as soon as possible, but not later than 1 year from the date of Hospitalization.
